to tell us what you thought. At just after 7pm, a fervent group of Pure Cardholders aka hip hop enthusiasts were gathered - ready and waiting to get seriously down. Cristo did his sultry rendition of a warm-up, much to the delighted squeals of his fans. And when the hip hop class started, it was a flurry of fierce and funky moves to the big beats served up by DJ Gruv. Hip hopper attire was everywhere - caps, hoodies, torso-baring tanks & T's, baggy bottoms and trainers - synchronised in an impressive vision of rhythmic coordination as Cristo's passionate instruction boomed over the mike. The mood got so high, even those in dresses and heels took to the dance floor!
Applause and whistles after the class ushered in tray upon tray of delicious canapés. Everyone enjoyed prawn cocktail, mini hot dogs, pizza, BBQ chicken drummets and deep-fried chicken strips, not to mention the free-flow Stella Artois and wine. When the dance competition kicked off with Chris and Giselle egging on participants with a few moves of their own, the energy hit the roof. The top 3 dancers of the night walked away with top-notch prizes of a Nokia N97 mobile phone, Canon digital camera, and HK$2,000 Lane Crawford cash voucher. The icing on the cake - literally - arrived with a profiterole tower for RED's 5th anniversary. It was a happy birthday and a very happy hip-hopping night! |
