2008 Mountadam Barossa Cabernet Merlot
This spicy earthy blend of classic Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is an interesting favourite. The palate is of lively primary flavours of plum and cherry supported with subtle hints of vanilla, tabacco and fennel.
Sourced entirely from Mountadam vineyard estate, the wine is from an outstanding vintage and has an elegant structure reflecting the characters from the renowned cool climate of the Eden Valley. The silky characters of ripe fruit and a desirable balance of flavour intensity really make this wine stand out.
